Working Principles

The Wensui VD dehumidifier is mainly used with a hopper dryer to provide effective dehumidifying and drying of hygroscopic plastic resins, such as PA, PC, PBT, and PET. The core component of the rotor dehumidifier is a desiccant wheel that rotates continuously. The design of the desiccant rotor dehumidifier is divided into three parts, dehumidifying zone, regeneration zone, and cooling zone.

It begins with the drying process phase. As the humid air passes through the wheel, the moisture is absorbed by the wheel. The rotating wheel features an open honeycomb design with a flat surface to remove moisture from the air for resin drying. Then it moves on to the regeneration or reactivation phase where the moisture is accumulated and captured by the wheel. The moisture then gets discharged and exhausted into the atmosphere. The last process is the cooling stage where the warm air cools down to the required temperature.
