Last week marked the successful conclusion of the 12th edition of the Propak West Africa Nigeria Rubber and Plastic Industry Exhibition 2024. For Wensui Group, this was their debut at the event, and it was an overwhelming success, receiving great feedback from local customers.

As the largest manufacturing industry event in West Africa, Propak West Africa spans a range of sectors, including plastics, packaging, food processing, and label printing. This exhibition provided Wensui Group with an excellent platform to showcase their plastic processing auxiliary equipment, helping them demonstrate their innovative products and technologies to potential customers in the region. This, in turn, allowed Wensui to continue expanding its influence across the growing African market.

Expansion in the African Market

Africa is a key growth region for Wensui Group. After establishing a strong presence in Ethiopia, Wensui is now advancing into West Africa, with Nigeria being a prime focus. As part of their expansion strategy, Wensui participated in the Propak West Africa exhibition, held at the Landmark Center in Lagos, Nigeria.

Nigeria, being the most populous country in Africa and the second-largest importer of plastic products on the continent, is a critical market. With the Nigerian plastic market rapidly growing, Propak West Africa provided Wensui Group with the opportunity to showcase its range of auxiliary equipment for plastic processing, including recycling systems for solid waste management.

Throughout the event, Wensui attracted significant interest from local plastic processors and recyclers. Many were drawn to their cutting-edge technology and product range, which included suction machines, chillers, dryers, and more. In addition to local customers, the exhibition also saw interest from potential business partners from India and neighboring African countries such as Ghana and Benin.

As a leading manufacturer of plastic processing auxiliary equipment, Wensui Group’s products are known for their wide application across various plastic processing methods, including injection molding, blow molding, and extrusion. These solutions help businesses optimize production efficiency, making them highly desirable in the industry.

Wiscon Envirotech, a subsidiary of Wensui Group, also made waves at the exhibition by showcasing its advanced size reduction equipment and recycling systems. With the demand for plastic recycling rising sharply in Nigeria, Wiscon had in-depth discussions with local recyclers, sharing insights into their innovative front-end recycling technology.

The interactions emphasized the growing need for efficient plastic waste recycling, particularly in dealing with PET bottles and PE films. Wiscon offers everything from independent size reduction machines to fully integrated washing lines, with equipment ranging from 25 to 600 horsepower– including compact single-shaft crushers and heavy-duty models.
